Today was spent again visiting publishing companies along Music Row, and then I performed on the acoustic section of the Global Artists Showcase, but not singing, only backing up Kirsty Lee Akers on guitar.
I also found out that the interview that I did before the Global Artists Showcase had apparently found it's way onto Nashville's prime time news. I didn't get to watch it. I just hope I didn't say anything stupid! Nah, it was all good.
That night I performed on the Australian Showcase at this coffee shop called 'Caffeine' which was run by Janine LeClair. It was so great to see her again. Janine was in Star Maker with me back in 2003, and I hadn't seen her since.
Also got to catch up with fellow South Aussie mate Jedd Hughes!

Tonight we had a big dinner with some other Aussies that were over there, including Jedd, Catherine, Sherrie Austin, Rob Potts, Kerry Roberts, Gill Robert, Tim Holland, Greg Swain, Col Finlay, Jessica Bell and Catherine's manager Stan Moress.
After tea I headed to watch Marty Stuart's Jam at the Ryman with Jedd. Oh my god, what a show! He was absolutely incredible, I never knew how incredible a mandolin player he was - outstanding!
He also had the coolest guitar collection! He was playing the original Clarence white telecaster that had the first B-bender installed, and man can he play it...

Today I had an early morning, playing on a show that Australian guitar builder Allan Tomkins was running. They were shows where he would start from scratch and completely describe how he builds the guitars. Very interesting!
Also playing was Kirsty Lee Akers and Michelle Little.
Tonight I went to watch a songwriters night at the Hard Rock Café. It was fantastic! All the writers sit up on stage and sing their hits.
One of the highlights for me was seeing Brett James singing his songs, however I missed the one that I wanted to hear, 'Jesus Take the Wheel', but that was only because we had to leave. Catherine was singing at the Ryman, and absolutely knocked them dead! Very Kool!
